During childhood, birthdays and Christmas were opportunities to be given art materials, pencils and other oil paintings tools. And inevitably over time, I became interested in art and was able to gain some control and develop my own technique, using conventional color pencils.
Then, a first attempt with Pastel grayscale (Gion Bayashi), then a second, more colorful (The port of Honfleur) have finally convinced me to adopt this medium for my future projects. The rendering of the intensity of the color and light that flows from the subject for me are unparalleled.
